Old And New Testament

Today  Shavuot Begins Also "Feast of Weeks" a Jewish holiday that occurs on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan (late May or early June) This year of Our Lord 2012 A.D. is May 26th.

Sunday May 27 is Pentecost
In the New Testament is when the Holy Spirit descended upon 120 followers of Jesus Christ and is traditionally called the Spiritual Birthday of the Christian Church. New Testament followers of Jesus Christ consider their primary duty to take the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to the entire world.

Matthew 28:18-20 --- And Jesus  came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (19)
Go  ye there fore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , and the Son and of the Holy Ghost:(20)
Teaching them to obey everything  I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen
