Familiar Phrases

1. Fill in the blanks: Joel prophesied judgment on the gentile nations after the restoration of Judah, He described  "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of  --------! For  the day of the Lord is near in the valley of  -------."


2. Amos wrote of oppressors, "They sell the righteous for silver, And the poor for a  ------- of  ------."


3. Sentence completion: Amos asked, "Can two walk together......"




1. "Decision...decision" (Joel 3:14).
 
 
2. "Pair.....sandals" (Amos 2:6).
 
 
3. "Unless they are agreed" (Amos 3:3). This is the first in a series of rhetorical questions that assume a negative answer. Israel and the Lord are in disagreement because of Israel's sin. They cannot expect blessing from God. (vv.3-6).
