Familiar Phrases

1. Fill in the blanks: Zephaniah saw judgment this way, "They shall build -------, but not inhabit them; They shall plant  -------, but not drink their wine."

2. When Judah said the time to complete the temple had not come, Haggai posed this question from God: "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your --------  -------, and this temple to lie in  ------?"

3. Zechariah fore saw a time when "ten men from every language ..... shall grasp the sleeve of a
--------- man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that -------- is with you."



1. "Houses....vineyards" (Zeph. 1:13).  Zephaniah was predicting judgment on a generation in Jerusalem who thought. "The Lord will not do good, Nor will He do evil" (v.12).
 
 
2. "Paneled houses....ruins" (Hag. 1:4). The  work on the temple had been stopped for fourteen years, from 534 to 520 B.C., when Haggai began to prophesy.
 
 
3. "Jewish.....God" (Zech. 8:23).
