Familiar Phrases

1. Fill in the blanks: Habakkuk said to God, "You are of ------- eyes than to behold evil, And cannot

1. "Purer...look" (Hab. 1:13). Habakkuk could not understand how God could use the terrible Babylonians to judge the sinful nation of Judah. He asked , Why do You....hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than  he?"

3. "Wait...come" (Hab. 2:3). The coming event was the invasion of Judah by Babylon which Habakkuk dreaded (1:6, 15-17).
