Poetry---Memory

1. Fill in the blanks: A proverb about self- control reads, "Whoever has no rule over his own --------- Is like a city broken down, without -------."

2. One proverb reads, Whoever digs a pit will -------- into it, And he who rolls a ------- will have it roll back on him."

3. A proverb about friendship says, "Faithful are the ------- of a friend, But the------- of an enemy are deceitful."
1. Spirit---walls (Prov. 25: 26 )
A city without walls is vulnerable to any enemy which approaches. A
man with no self-control is likewise defenseless against every threat to his spirit.

2. Fall---stone (Prov. 26: 27 )
Violence eventually returns upon its instigator (cf 6: 12-15).

3. Wounds---- kisses (Prov. 26: 27 )
The worst that one receives from a friend is better then the best he receives from an enemy.
