Epistles--Instruction

1. Multiple choice: "God has not given us a spirit of  (a) fear; (b) dissension; or (c) anger, but of power and of love and of a sound mind"

2. Question: In 2 Timothy 2, Paul compares the Christian to a soldier and to people involved in two other pursuits in life. Name one of them.

3. Sentence completion: Paul instructed Timothy,  "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly....."

2. An athlete or a farmer (2 Tim. 2:3-6). Paul says that the athlete  must compete by the rules, and the farmer is the first to share in the crops. Both discipline and reward are held forth.

3. "Dividing the word of truth" is to understand  and teach the word of God correctly.
