Epistles--Instruction

1. Fill in the blanks: The writer of Hebrews begins his book by stating that in time past God spoke  "to the fathers by the --------, (but) has in these last days spoken to us by His -------."

2. After showing Christ's superiority to the Old Testament prophets in Hebrews 1:1-4, the writer shows that Christ is also superior to the --------.

3. Multiple choice: According to Hebrews 2, Jesus had to be made like us in all things to be our: (a) Savior; (b) High Priest; or (c) Friend.

1. "Prophets...Son"  (Heb. 1:1,2). Hebrews is addressed to Jewish believers who would have been very familiar with the writings of the Old Testament prophets.

2. Angels (Heb.1:4-14).

3. (b) High Priest (Heb.2:17).
