Law and Promise:

1. True or False? The "fainthearted" soldier in Israel's army was to be strong in the Lord and go ahead into battle.

False - He was to go home, lest he cause others to become fainthearted.

(Deut. 20 : 8 )

Patsy, I don't think those laws you quote are applicable in Israel's army today.
All I can think of is the rule that if a boy is an only son, his parents have to sign permission for him to join a combat unit. Is that in the Torah?

If it is I have not come to it yet, Dina.
