When The Day Of The Lord comes

Paul
would provide the answer that the disciples ask Jesus about
restoring again  the kingdom of Israel.
When they ask ,Paul had not even been converted. Paul
answered this question as he taught the Thessalonians
(1 Thess. 5). Jesus had said that the disciples could not
understand the times and the seasons; yet Paul said the
Thessalonians already understood:
(But of the times and the seasons, brethren [ Thessalonian
believers], ye have no need that I write unto you. For
yourselves know perfectly [with accuracy] that the day
of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night
(1 Thess. 5:1,2).

Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace
in which we stand, and we rejoice in HOPE of the glory of God.
Rom. 5:2

Chronology

In Greek
the word for time is CHRONOS, and for Seasons KAIROS.
Both words refer to time, but with this difference: the word
CHRONOS indicates a succession of events, one following
the other. This is the word from which we get our English
word "chronology". KAIROS, on the other hand, refers to
events organized by their components into dispensations.
It is time which is broken into segments--- time divided
into specific periods, epochs or eras.

HOPE in the Lord! With the Lord there is steadfast love
and with Him is plentiful redemption.
Ps. 130:7

Only THe Father Knows

Times and Seasons
When they [the disciples of Jesus] therefore were come
together, they asked of Him , saying, Lord, wilt thou At
THIS TIME restore again the kingdom of Israel?
Acts 1:6
And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the
TIMES and SEASONS, which the Father hath put
in His own power.
Acts 1:7

HOPE deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled
is a tree of life.
Prov. 13:12

Understanding

Our Subject
Is something the majority of believers do not understand,
and it should be the other way around. The believer's
understanding of the Bible depends upon his orientation
to Dispensations. The first chapter of the Book of Acts
introduces the subject of Dispensations through the use
of two specific words.
(Times and Seasons)

So that, having been justified by His grace we might become
heirs having the HOPE of eternal life.
Titus 3:7

Human History

Biblically
A Dispensation is a period of time expressing the divine
 viewpoint of human history.
We might say that Dispensations are the divine timetable
by which all human events are correlated. During each
Dispensation God entrusts Gospel dissemination to specific
people. Failure to fulfill their responsibilities causes God
to end one Dispensation and usher in a new one.

 And now these 3 remain:
Faith, HOPE, Love
1 Cor. 13:13

Time

God's Timetable
Time as we know it is but a segment of eternity, taken out
of eternity and set aside for man's use. God  has divided
time into segments and His Word calls them Dispensation.
An understanding of these divisions of time is the key which
unlocks Biblical truth. Without this reference system it is
impossible for any Christian to understand how various
portions of the Bible apply to his life.

The Lord is always before me... Therefore my heart is glad and
my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in HOPE.
Acts 2:26

Jehovah

The Hebrew
Tetragrammaton, JHWH or Jehovah, means
"absolute existence" and refers to only one
Member of the Trinity at a time, the context
indicating which One. Occasionally,the
Tetragrammaton includes all three Person,
as in Numbers 6:24:27. The King James
Version identifies the singular or
 plural
allusions to God in the Old Testament:
the word LORD is in capital letters indicated the
Tetragrammaton; God refers to ELOHIM.

No one who HOPES in the Lord will ever be put to shame.
Ps. 25:3

A Hebrew Word

ELOHIM
The plural Hebrew word for "God" ELOHIM,verifies
the existence of more than one Person and introduces
the tribune God. When the scripture declares that ELOHIM
created the heavens and the earth (Gen.1:1), it asserts that all three
Persons had  a part in creation: Father planned it, the Son executed
it, and the Holy Spirit  restored it.

Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it.
There will be a future, and your HOPE will not be cut off.
Prov. 24:14

Threefold

The Godhead
The threefold title of the Godhead--Father ,Son, Holy Spirit
under the one Name of "God" (Matt. 28:19) affirms both
oneness and equality. This aspect of the Trinity is generally
emphasized in the Old Testament: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord
our God is one Lord (Deut. 6:4). How ever, a plurality is
clearly indicated in many other passages,

Come ye [Israel] near unto me [Christ], hear ye this; I
have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the
time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God [Father]
and his Spirit, hath sent me (Isa. 48:16).

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ . According to
His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living
HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:3

Three Persons

The Doctrine
Of the Trinity is declared unequivocally in both the Old
and the New Testaments and declares God to be a union
of three Persons into one Godhead. The tree Personalities
are said to be one in character or essence but three in per-
sonality and function. Each Member of the God head possesses
the same divine attributes and is thus coequal with the Others.
John10:30;  Psa. 110:1.

But as for me, I will always have HOPE, I will praise
God more and more.
Ps. 71:14

Systems Of Learning

Three Systems
Of perception: rationalism, empiricism and faith.
Everything that you have ever learned, you have perceived
through either one of these systems or through a combination
of the three. Rationalism relies solely on reason and sets up
the mine as the criterion for reality, totally apart from authority
or revelation. Empiricism claims that reality is apprehended
from experience through the sensory system. Thus reality to
you is what you smell, what you see, what your hear, what you
taste and touch or what you feel. The third system is Faith--
a non meritorious system of  perception or thinking. It is the
realm of faith which becomes the basic system of perception
for spiritual phenomena.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those
who HOPE in His steadfast love.
Ps 33:18

At The Point!

The Holy Spirit
Will  accomplish five supernatural phenomena in each
believer at the point of salvation!

1. is the baptism of the Spirit through which we are placed
into union with Christ and become members of the Royal
Family of God. (1 Cor. 12:13--1 Peter 2:9).

2. Is regeneration or the new birth, by which we are made
spiritually alive (John3:3-7--Tit 3:5).

3. Is the indwelling of the Spirit, the body of Royalty that
enables us to function in the Christian life (Cor. 6:19,20.

4. The sealing of the Spirit, a guarantee of the security of the
Royal Family during the intensified stage of the angelic
conflict. (Like  what this world is going thru now)
(Eph. 1:13, 4:30)

5. The Holy Spirit sovereignty bestows at least one spiritual
gift to each believer the primary purpose of the Holy Spirit's
indwelling of every believer to glorify The Lord Jesus Christ
( Gal.5:22,23).

For You, O Lord, are my HOPE my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Ps. 71:5

A Challenger

Our Privilege
More then our wonderful privilege, it is our rightful
obligation to tell others of the Savior. Motivated by
His love (2 Cor. 5:14), we are to make known Him
who loved us and gave Himself for us (Gal. 2:20).
Will you take up this challenge to follow the Lord
as a fisher of men, or will you allow the challenger
of grace to silence you?

The production of the righteous (spiritually mature
believer) is a tree of life; and he who is wise wins
souls (expanded trans., Prov. 11:30).

We should ask God to increase our HOPE awaken it when it is
dormant, confirm it when it is wavering. strengthen it when it
is weak, and raise it up when it is overthrown.

Breaking Through

Tremendous Responsibility

Rest on each one of us who have trusted in Christ-- that of
representing our Lord in the devil's world! Certainly, we
can expect opposition; Satan is as intent on obscuring the
Gospel as God is on revealing it (2 Cor. 4:3,4)!  But God
has given us the means whereby we may be instrumental
in breaking through the darkness of unbelief---the Gospel
(2 Cor. 4:6,7).

My HOPE comes from the Lord, who made Heaven and earth!
Ps. 121:2

Rejoicing

The Blessing Of Inner Happiness
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?
Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ
at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.
1 Thess. 2:19,20

In the anticipation of his ''crown of rejoicing," Paul expressed the
blessing of  inner happiness. Through he might never see the
Thessalonians again on this earth, he was perfectly content in
spite of the separation. Paul knew that he would meet them all
in the presence of the Lord, and that is why he referred to them
as his "glory and joy." What was true of Paul is true of every
believer: the privilege and joy of witnessing for our Lord is
a source of inner happiness.

The Lord's delight is in those who honor Him, those who put
their HOPE in His unfailing love.
Ps.147:11

A Rewarding Life

My Savior
When  I fist accepted Christ as my Savior, I wondered
whether there were any other Christians in the school I
attended. I  began to witness and had the privilege of
seeing several students believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
This led  to some of the most wonderful fellowship I have
ever known. Since then, I have had other opportunities
to lead people to the Lord, always with the same enjoyable
results. The principle is that some of the greatest and most
marvelous contacts you will ever have are in Christian
fellowship. These associations are particularly rewarding
when they are based on your personal witnessing for Christ;
furthermore, they leave behind fragrant memories.

he was graduated summa cum laude. There he acquired the Biblical
science of textual criticism and further study of the original languages,
making a total of nine years of Greek and five of Hebrew.

Fond Memories

Joy of Christian Fellowship

But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time
in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly
to see your face with great desire.
1 Thess. 2:17

Paul had experienced the joy of Christian fellowship. Although
he had to leave Thessalonica, he was most eager to return there.
Why ? Because he had had such a fantastic time with those people
who had responded to the Gospel. Even when Satan hindered  Paul's
visit to his Christian friends at Thessalonica, he could never deprive
the apostle of his fond memories, nor of the decorations he would receive
at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Surely there is a future, and your HOPE will not be cut off.
Prov. 23:18

Fellowship And Happiness

Rewards
The mind of Christ resident in our minds---that is the perfect
divine work which brings us rewards in heaven. Witnessing is
a natural result of spiritual growth and is therefore an integral
part of the overall rewards picture. Our rewards in time are
twofold: the joy of Christian fellowship and the blessing of
inner happiness.

The future belongs to those who give the next generation
reason for HOPE.

A Reward

Rewards Of Witnessing
For  though I preach the gospel, I have  nothing to
glory [boast] of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea,
woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I
do this thing [witnessing] willingly, I have a  reward
(1 Cor. 9:16, 17).

The rewards of witnessing are both eternal and temporal
in nature. Eternal reward centers around the word "willingly".
Bible doctrine in the believer's soul is what motivates him to
witness. It is this doctrine-- the Mind of Christ resident in our
minds.
Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done
without HOPE and confidence.
Helen Keller
