Epistles--General

1. Question:  Was Abraham counted as righteous in God's sight before or after he had been circumcised?

2. Multiple choice: Paul quotes  an Old Testament writer to give confirmation to the doctrine of justification by faith. The quote is, in part, "Blessed are those whose  lawless deeds are forgiven, And
whose sins are covered ." To whom does Paul credit these lines? (a) Isaiah; (b) David; or (c) Moses.

1. Before (Rom. 4:9,10).
Paul used this argument to show that salvation has always been by faith alone. even in the case of Abraham.

2. (b) David (Rom. 4:6-8).
This is a quote from Psalm 32 in which David  described  the devastation of sin in a person's life and the freedom
that comes through forgiveness.
