Epistles --General

1. Multiple choice: How did Paul characterize the Christians in Corinth in 1 Corinthians 3?
(a) Spiritual; (b) carnal; or (c) natural.

2. Fill in the blank: Because the believers in Corinth were carnal, Paul fed  them with ---------
and not with solid food.

1. (b) Carnal ( 1 Col. 3: 1-4).
The word carnal literally means "fleshly". These people were genuine Christians but were
not living by the power of the Spirit. They were living by  the power of human resources wisdom.

2. Milk (1 Cor. 3:1,2).
Milk is a reference to the basic things of the Christian faith. It is also used  this way in
Hebrews 5:12.
