Epistles--Prophecy

1. Question: In Thessalonians 1, Paul pictures the Lord returning from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire. Is this a scene  of the Lord coming in judgment or to take His children with  Him to heaven?

2. Multiple choice: The Day of the Lord cannot come until the man of sin or lawlessness is revealed. Paul  also calls this person  (a) The son of Satan; (b) the son of thunder; or (c) the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2.

1. A scene of the Lord coming in judgment (2 Thess. 1:7,8).

2. (c) The son of perdition (2 Thess. 2:3). Perdition is the exact opposite of salvation.
