And Jesus,Was Baptized

Water represented the will of the Father for the Son at His First Advent.

As Jesus came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of

the Trinity, descended upon Him "in a bodily shape like a dove"

(Luke 3:22)

 

By this prearranged signal, John knew beyond a shadow of a doubt

that this  One was indeed the Son of God, the Second Person of the

Trinity (John 1:33, 34).

 

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in

whom I am well pleased.

Matt. 3:17

 

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits."
Psalm 68:19

Lord, each day is a brand-new gift-unspoiled, unblotted. Help me to be inwardly
open to what you have for me today.

The Plan

Because the Plan of God is Grace, man's entrance into

the Plan must  be compatible with grace. God  is perfect;

His Plan is perfect; therefore, man's work has no place

in the  divine Plan: "Not by works of righteousness which

we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us.

(Tit. 3:5)

 

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved"

(Acts16:31)

"Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and
mighty things which thou  knowest not."
Jeremiah 33:3

God, help us to live one day at a time and enjoy each gift that
you have given us. Help us to be glad and rejoice in each new day.

Time

Where deity is concerned, time is nonexistent; God merely

invented time for humanity. Whether you realize it or not,

we are all slaves to time. Our lives, our occupations and

leisure are regulated by the clock. We think in terms of past,

present, future; of short or long periods; of years, months,

days, hours, minutes, seconds; our own lives are likened to

vapor trails (Jas. 4:14). We are here today and gone tomorrow.

 

David exclaimed, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him?"

(Psa. 8:4). Yet a loving , eternal God cares enough to extend a

gracious offer to all mankind: "that whosoever believeth in Him

(Jesus Christ) should...have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

The Great " I AM"

God is eternal, unchangeable love infinitely superior to human love.

1 John 4:8b

 

God does not depend on emotion to sustain or express His love;

He needs no crutches, no human assistance or reassurance, no

demonstrations of faithfulness from the objects of His love.

In fact, God's love exists equally with or without an object to

love, because He is the Object. God IS! He is absolute existence

the self-existing One, the great "I AM"

Don't Be Of The World

"For God loved the world so much, that He gave His uniquely

born Son, that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but

have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to

judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe

has been judged already, because he has not believed in the person

of the unique Son of God."

Don't Be Eternally Condemned

"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just;

A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous

and upright is He."

The free gift of God is life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom. 6:23b

God is just as fair in casting the unbeliever into the

lake of fire as He is in providing the believer with

eternal salvation.

 

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled."
Matthew 5:6

Help us Lord, to carefully bear the fruit of the Spirit. Help us to
be the very essence of goodness.

Keep Sober

Gird your minds for action, keep sober (in spirit), fix your hope completely

on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
