1. Question: Will the dead or living Christians rise first to meet the Lord when He Returns?

2. Where will Christians  meet the Lord when He returns, on the earth or in the air?

1. The dead Christians (1Thess. 4:15--17). In verses 14 and 15, the ones who have died in Christ  are  described  as being asleep in Jesus . Jesus described Lazarus after he had died as being asleep

(John 11:11).

 

 

2. In the air (1Thess. 4:17).  This is the one place in Scripture that the rapture of the believer is taught.
