We continue with Peter---
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some
things hard to be understood (even for Peter twenty-five years later), which they
that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the other scriptures, unto
their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16).
What does this say? Peter, along with the others, asked the Lord a question in
Acts 1:7. The Lord knew it was futile to answer then because the disciples did
not have sufficient doctrine to comprehend the answer. Years later the dying
words of a spiritually mature Peter were: "Get with the Pauline epistles. There
are some hard things there, but that is the answer!"
" The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18 Father, thank you for Your presence. In Christ name I pray |
