Epistles--Instruction

1. Fill in the blank: If an unbelieving  marriage partner leaves the believer, the believer is not under
------------ in such cases.

2. Multiple choice: A believing husband or wife should stay with his or her unbelieving marriage partner because the unbelieving partner is (a) Convicted; (b) sanctified; or (c) loved by the believing mate.

3. Concerning the payment of ministers by the people they serve, 1 Corinthians 9 says, "Even so the Lord has (a) Suggested; (b) instructed; or (c) commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel."

1. Bondage (1Cor. 7:15). "Bondage" in this passage is most often understood to mean that the believing marriage partner does not have to remain unmarried. However, the believing partner is told never to leave the unbeliever if he or she consents to stay.

2. (b) Sanctified (1Cor. &:14). This does not mean that the unbeliever is given some special standing with God. It means that a witness remains in the unbeliever's life and he is able to hear and see God at work.

3. (c) "Commanded" (1 Cor. 9:14).
