The Unseen Mighty Foe

A Command
To follow the colors is issued to every believer by Jesus Christ, the
Supreme Commander of the heavenly host. The Church Age believer's
salvation and subsequent regeneration have enlisted him permanently
in the ranks of the Royal Combat Divisions of the Family of God.
Whether
he so desires or not, the Christian finds himself in enemy territory, in
Cosmos Diabolicus (Satan's world system). He is in the world, but not
of the world (John 15:18,19). He is locked in invisible but deadly com-
bat with an unseen, mighty foe-- the devil and his demonic army
(Eph. 6:12). This invisible warfare, which will terminate only at the
end of time, is called the "angelic conflict."

Forces Of Satan--- Forces Of God

Down Through The ages
Military organizations have employed  various types of regimental
standards or flags by which soldiers could recognize their unit amidst
the confusion of combat.
With the introduction of the modern  military tactics of extended order
of battle and dispersion of troops, the army developed the guidon system.
Every regiment was assigned its own particular colors. The colors were
the tactical means for rallying the troops in the heat of battle. The battle
cry, "Follow The Colors".
There is a war:
Angelic Conflict
Unseen conflict in which the forces of Satan are warring against the forces of God.
We will hit the high points of the book

Follow The Colors

The Challenge To Follow The Colors

Since the dawn of civilization, warfare has played a major role
in the affairs of mankind (Gen. 4:22). The Bible testifies to this
fact  not only by prophecy (Gen.3:15; Matt. 24:6-8; Rev. 6:2-4),
but also by historic commentary. A great number of the inspired
writers of  the Canon utilized  martial idioms and  metaphors to
express doctrinal truths. It is significant, therefore, that the  pursuit
of the epitome of spiritual maturity should be described in the
Scriptures in terms of military vernacular.

Give A Child A Foundation

The Great Adventure

This provides a foundation for parents to begin teaching
their children how to face and solve the problems and
adversities of life. God has given us the solution to all
problems in Bible doctrine. Just as with salvation, learning
and using doctrine does not depend on intelligence, age
culture, talent, or human abilities, but on God's grace. If a four
year-old can believe in Jesus Christ as Savior, then he can learn,
think, and use Bible doctrine.

Recommended for ages 4 and up.

A Brave Shepherd

David The Brave Shepherd
David's defeat of Goliath has inspired and motivated believers
since the time of ancient Israel. David's faith in the Word of God
and his courage in the face of impossible odds make him an Old
Testament hero with a lesson for all of us. Children are especially
enthralled with the power of believing God's Word and applying
it to their problems. The coloring book ( David the Brave Shepherd)
is out of print but available for download at www.rbthieme.org. An
audio version to accompany the coloring book is available on the
audio book on MP3 CD collection Children's Audio Studies.
Recommended for age 4 and up.

Angels Are A Reality

Volume Four

God's Plan of Salvation
This is an intensified look at the entire scope of soteriology,
teaching the necessity, plan, and purpose of salvation. This
series also includes a fascinating  study on the subject  of
angels: scriptural documentation to their reality and purpose
in the plan of God, the types of angels, and what roles they
play. The final chapters of the book teach the story of Jonah
to provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of God's
love and grace toward sinners, so that the child may see his
own place and responsibility within the plan of God.

Recommended for age 8 and up.
